Insurance & Payment Options

Understanding your options should not add to your stress.

Before counseling begins, our team helps you understand the expected cost, your insurance benefits, and any financial-support options available to you. If cost feels like a barrier, tell us. We will help you identify the most affordable appropriate path to care.

Before Your First Session

You will have the best information available before you begin.

We do not want cost questions sitting between you and the care you need. Our administrative and billing teams guide you through the process before your first counseling session.

1

Share your information

Provide your insurance details or let us know that you plan to use self-pay.

2

We verify benefits

Our team checks the benefits and coverage information available through your plan.

3

Receive an estimate

You receive a Good Faith Estimate and are notified of the expected cost before your appointment.

4

Review everything together

Before your first session, a billing-team member reviews your paperwork, estimated costs, and questions with you.

A clear estimate—not an empty promise.
Insurance companies make the final determination of coverage and payment. We provide the most accurate estimate available and address questions or changes as they arise.

Self-Pay & Payment Methods

Transparent costs, discussed privately.

Self-pay costs are reviewed with you before your first session. Because financial support is individualized, we do not want a single posted rate to stop someone from asking what may be possible.

Accepted payment methods

We accept several ways to pay for counseling services.

CashCredit cardsDebit cardsHSAFSAMoxey

Moxey is accepted through Pelican Trade Network.

Sliding-fee applications

Qualifying self-pay clients may apply for a reduced session rate through our Billing Department. Household size and income are considered to determine the appropriate level of assistance.

Sliding-fee discounts cannot be applied to insurance copays, deductibles, or coinsurance.

Additional Paths to Care

When the usual payment options do not fit.

Money should not be the reason someone assumes counseling is out of reach. These programs provide additional pathways based on financial need, circumstances, or the type of care requested.

Financial Assistance

Sliding-Fee Support

Self-pay clients may complete an application with our Billing Department to determine whether an income-based cost reduction is available.

Expanded Access

Real Help Program

Real Help expands access to mental healthcare through carefully selected emerging mental health professionals. Session costs are determined individually, creating another affordable pathway when insurance and traditional financial-assistance options do not meet your needs.

Following a qualifying traumatic event or natural disaster, TEND provides three counseling sessions at no cost. Eligibility is based on the event—not financial need.
