Lawrencia has experience in working with adults, teens, children, couples, and families. She works with clients who have a variety of challenges such as: racial trauma, adjustment, and transition issues, relationship conflict and challenges, PTSD, parent-child relationships, struggles with self-care, self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression and more! She specializes in working with minority populations, as well as youth empowerment approaches as it pertains to adolescent and teen girls. She utilizes Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, and often incorporates art and music therapy into her work. Lawrencia aims to help clients of all ages to embark on their journey of healing and improvement.

Education/Training/Certifications:


I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Master of Arts in Marriage in Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM). Currently, I am a Doctoral Candidate, pursuing a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy at ULM. I am a EMDR, TBRI and MST trained therapist.

Vision/Goal for Therapy:


I aim to help clients of all ages to embark on their journey of healing and improvement, in hopes of the client reaching their maximum change. My goal for therapy is to work with the client to become equipped with the ideal tools that are needed to navigate through life’s obstacles and hardships. When working with clients, I utilize strength-based techniques to influence positive change.

Additional Information:


I specialize in working with minority populations and exploring the effects of historical trauma , as well as adolescent and teen girls. It has always been my passion to empower adolescents and teen girls as they transition into adulthood.
