You should not have to spend your provisional years chasing claims, managing credentialing, or trying to build a practice from scratch.

Our administrative team handles scheduling, billing, credentialing, insurance follow-up, marketing, and many of the operational tasks that can pull your attention away from clinical development.

A dependable starting point to build a thriving caseload

Provisionally licensed clinicians receive a guaranteed base salary of $36,000 per year for a 30-hour in-office workweek.

The standard production goal is 22 completed sessions per week. To account for cancellations and no-shows, your schedule may include more appointments than the weekly completion goal. Our administrative team will help build and manage that schedule within your 30-hour workweek.

The role also includes a production bonus. Beginning with the 23rd completed session in a tracking week, you will earn an additional $30 for each completed session. 

The goal is to provide some financial stability while still rewarding you as your caseload develops.

During the early weeks of employment, we focus on orientation, learning practice systems, establishing your office, and gradually building a recurring caseload. No one expects you to walk in with a full schedule on your first day.

Because this role is designed to provide broad clinical experience, your availability should remain open to clients across a variety of backgrounds, age groups, and presenting concerns. We will still consider clinical appropriateness, your scope of competence, and the support you need as a developing clinician.

For PLPCs and PLMFTs, Finding Solace provides board-approved LMFT-S and LPC-S (with the option for dual) supervision at no cost.

That means you are not paying out of pocket for the supervision required to move toward independent licensure. The current compensation model estimates the value of this benefit at approximately $5,000 per year.

Supervision should help you become more thoughtful and capable, not just help you accumulate hours. You can expect attention to clinical decision-making, ethics, documentation, case conceptualization, professional boundaries, and the practical realities of managing ongoing client care.

Support beyond supervision

You will also have access to experienced clinicians and leadership when you need consultation outside of your scheduled supervision.

That might mean talking through a difficult case, getting help with documentation, asking a question about practice policy, or receiving support when something does not go as planned.

The expectation is not perfection.  It is that you communicate, ask for help when needed, follow through on feedback, and take responsibility for your work.

Paid time off accrues progressively during employment.

Finding Solace also provides the specialized continuing education required by the Louisiana LPC Board for PLPCs. Beyond those requirements, you will have opportunities to learn from colleagues, build competence with different populations, and begin identifying areas you may want to specialize in after full licensure.

A path beyond provisional licensure

Finding Solace is an HRSA/NHSC-approved site.

Provisionally licensed clinicians are generally not eligible for NHSC loan repayment until they hold an independent, unrestricted license. After completing the required supervised experience and becoming fully licensed, eligible clinicians working at Finding Solace may be able to apply for an NHSC loan repayment program.

Eligibility and award decisions are made by NHSC and HRSA, so Finding Solace cannot guarantee an award.
