Education/Training/Certifications:
– I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana Monroe and am a Student Therapist at the ULM Marriage & Family Therapy Clinic.
– Level One Training in Gottman Methods Couples Therapy
– I have also completed Gallup Clifton-Strengths Training to assist in Strengths-Based Coaching and Development.
Ages & Issues Treated:
I assist individuals, romantic partners, and families from many different backgrounds and in many different stages of life. I work with a wide range of issues, including depression and anxiety. I particularly enjoy working with couples navigating relational conflict, blended families needing guidance, and individuals struggling with boundaries, self-awareness, and the pursuit of authenticity. I also work with individuals experiencing religious trauma and those who are navigating problems with intimacy and sex.
Vision/Goal for Therapy:
I have a personal appreciation for the vulnerability expressed in therapy and consider it a true privilege to partner with clients as we work together on issues and relationships that impact clients’ lives. I believe each person is uniquely equipped to live as their best self and experience the joy of fulfilling relationships. I take an empathetic, but direct, approach to working with clients and it is my hope we can have difficult conversations, as well as celebrate the “wins” together.
Additional Information:
Therapy should provide a safe space for all, regardless of gender or sexual identity, lifestyle choices, issues discussed, etc. I will always work to maintain a space that clients feel truly seen, heard, understood, and valued.
