Vision/Goal for Therapy:

I like to utilize person-centered therapy, CBT, and EMDR to help individuals learn coping skills to promote mental health and wellness and post traumatic growth.

Additional Information:

I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and provide counseling to individuals, adults, couples, and families. I hold a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Capella University and am pursuing a Ph.D. in Multidisciplinary Human Services. I am a retired police officer and was a trained negotiator and member of the Crisis Intervention Team, CIT. I am an advocate for mental health and wellness for first responders and promote proactive methods of reducing symptoms of PTSD and related disorders. I assisted in bringing the first Post Critical Incident Seminar (PCIS) to Louisiana and have traveled around the state to help facilitate Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD). I am trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR) and DeTur. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, genealogy research, and spending time with family.
