Vision/Goal for Therapy:
Laura provides therapeutic services to the youth and older adult population. Young children and adolescents who struggle in coping with chronic pain/illness, feeling misunderstood, withdrawn, and anxious will experience a calm space to express and release suppressed emotions. Older adults and their families that are experiencing strife caused by the distress of cognitive and physical impairments will find satisfaction, peace, and social connection through creative communication.
She incorporates creative solutions in a non-intrusive approach to the client’s journey through healing. Laura sets her clinical foundation on creativity and gentleness so that her practice is developmentally sensitive and supportive of the intergenerational population. She believes that creativity is necessary for your collaboration in discovering new solutions and alternatives to presented problems and making meaning out of your profound human experience.
Laura served as an early education assistant teacher for four years, supporting parents and families with their child’s development and emotional growth.
